Final Cut crashing after capture

For some reason, everytime I press ESC to end a capture, FCP crashes. I just updated the software, hoping that would eliminate the problem. Nope. It worked fine earlier using a different camera and refuses to capture off the DVX.

Any ideas??

Could you provide us with details about your hardware and software?

Including versions numbers, RAM, media drive?

I have seen a lot of the new imac's with the aluminum casings having this problem. For the computer to recognize your DVX you need to use a firewire hub or daisey chain your dvx through an external firewire drive and then to your computer.
The older white cased imacs worked fine, but these new ones suck.

I'm using a Mac Pro. Evidently it needed a cold reboot after updating, because it works fine again.
