Final cut 6 "open timeline" and AJA LHE

I wonder if anybody here knows how Final cut 6 "open timeline" works whith AJA LHE? Can you just drop a clip in the timeline for example a 720p or 1080p dvcpro hd and it works nicely witch the Aja, or do you still have to rely on changeing the easy setups each time??

can u drop 1080/24pa footage into a timeline with 720/24pn footage without any extra cirricular activities? just drag and drop or do u need to change the setup options each time?
 
The best way to approach the open timeline format is to start with settings that match your output destination or the highest res, depending on the workflow you have set up for yourself. At that point you can drag and drag to your hearts content and final cut will play back all the footage without rendering (as long as the format is a supported for realtime playback). It's really a pretty sweet and underated feature!
