Filters SONY HVR Z1E

Hi people -

I want to use a polarizing filter for the sony HVR Z1E - but I can't decided if a circular or linear one is better to use.

I know the principles behind circular vs linear - but they are always based around 35mm stills cameras, not video cameras so just want to double check

Anyone got any advice?
 
I would get a linear because once you get the holder the filters are cheaper, you can keep getting more and layer over more.
