filming white buildings

Hi,
For my film i was looking at different houses that i mite shoot the exteriors of. Some are white but i've read that its a good idea to stay away from white when using video. Is there much truth to this, is it better to avoid white when possible?

No, just watch your exposure to make sure it doesn't overexpose and you'll be fine.

... and check your white balance for each shot.

^^^ Agree with both of them. Exposure is a lot more important, I like to underexpose a little here and raise in post so I don't get a purple fringing around the white buildings in my footage.
