Filming projected patterns

I just bought a slide projector at a flee market and thought I would use it to project cool light patterns on walls for certain scenes.

First of all, I hope this works, but more importantly, will the GH1 film this without any problems, or is it just a dumb idea?

I don't see how the GH1 would deal with it any differently than any other camera?

Then, would it work well? In other words, would the light patterns that I project onto a wall film well, or would it look odd? Has anyone done this?

Its not a dumb idea, its a great idea, but you are not alone as I have seen this before from multimedia performance art to feature films by Tsui Hark.
The GH1 can easily record reflections in a glass window, projections should be no trouble.
