Hi,

Could do with some advice or settings for using the HMC-150 in daylight outside.

Last time I did the footage was really bright and not useable. Was using the default settings with Lo-Noize file from Barry's book.

Thanks

Phil

Not at the moment, it was just really bright and I couldn't retrieve any detail in post curves/brightness/contrast.

Anything I can do on the camera? Close the iris?

Thanks

My "ballpark" outdoor settings:
1080p/24p
Shutter speed to 1/48 sec
ND up as much as necessary until iris can get below f/5.6-f/8ish.
I then add a circular polarizing filter.
Cine "V" preset if I'm not doing much color work, Cine "D" preset if I plan on grading.

Have to utilize ND filters along with Iris. Zebra stripes are a big help! This allows you to see the hot zones and adjust the iris accordingly. I film hunts all over the world and the HMC150 is a great unit with a great outdoor picture! Hope this helps.
