Filming in Low Light Arcade

A client would like a video that highlights his arcade games and attractions to potential franchisees. He has certain activities like bowling and shooter based games and those strength games where you arm wrestle the machine etc.

As it is an arcade, the ambient lighting is really low and forms par of the aesthetic theme of the arcade. I am not saying i cant light up the whole arcade however.

There are also lots of people in the arcade and this needs to be obvious in the video, so i cant close the arcade down for the video, which means there is a hazzard of lights falling on people etc.

How should i approach the lighting of this arcade?

Does the location have drop ceilings? You can rig small fixtures onto the grid if that's the case. In an arcade, I'd imagine you could also find many machines that you could place small lights on top of with some pigeon bases or preferably nail-on plates screwed into apple boxes. There's always china balls too, all they need is some paper tape for sticking the cable up to the ceiling, some duve for shaping the light, and of course, electricity. If you need to put a light on a stand, have at the very least a 25lb sandbag on it, and if you're using C stands, don't have the arm in a position that it can take someone's eye out.

Can't say much more without seeing the place, hope that helps.
