Filming in a club, help with the white balance!

Hi everyone.

Tonight I'm filming a 21st movie themed birthday party in a club. The lighting conditions will be changing dramatically every second so I'm guessing setting the white balance is out of the question. Is the best option to use the 3.2K preset? Or does anyone have any advice on filming in these conditions? It's also going to be fairly dark so I'll be using the gain. Is it worth changing the shutter speed? Should I leave it at 1/50? I'm guessing going any lower might loose the film effect as I'm shooting in 25p for the film look as it's a film themed party.

Any suggestions welcomed.

I have to say I am rather disappointed in the DVX100B from what I recorded in the club the other night. I hate saying that because I have grown to love this camera over the past year, however it's performance (even with the gain boosted) was pretty bad in low light conditions. My friend took a HD handy-cam thing he purchased cheap off ebay, he gave me the footage today and it has totally out trumped my DVX footage... I was surprised this was the case. I wondered if there was any way to boost the performance in low light situations (apart from adding extra light of course).
