OTHER: Filmed on Sony Nex C3 - most 1080 but possibly some 720, is it best to stretch it all?

First time film maker, filmed on Sony Nex C3, most at 1080, but some at 720. It only gave me the output option as 720 max. Editing on imovie.
Want to send it to film festivals, I gather most DCP need it on 1080 to convert it? Should I stretch it all to 1080? I've seen it can be done on imovie, but will the result be good enough for cinema screenings? Or am I best to leave it as 720p?

I haven't used iMovie in over 10 years but try copying and pasting the edit in a 1080p timeline (or throw the 720p master on a 1080p timeline) and see what happens.

All of the industry NLEs stretch/change it automatically (unless some setting prevents it or asks you to do something else).

The resolution difference shouldn't matter much (it was once a common practice to export 1080p as a 4K file to trick YouTube into better compression...and it worked well).

With that said, you'd know best once you compare the exports side-by-side. (And make sure the festival is even accepting 720p/1080p.)
