Received an email from the FilmConvert folks- they now have an FS700 profile and full GPU support:

FilmConvert for Adobe adds Color Corrector, Hardware Acceleration
Our team has been hard at work making enhancements to the After Effects / Premiere Plugin. New features:
  • 3 Way Color Corrector
  • Saturation Slider
  • Levels Graph
  • Sony FS700 Profiles
  • Hardware Acceleration - choose the GPU option to greatly speed up your previews and rendering, up to realtime playback in Premiere
This upgrade brings Adobe plugins up to the feature set of the Stand-Alone, and is FREE to all registered owners.

unfortunely no profiles for sLog (via FB: sLog2 was not available on our test camera unfortunately. We may get another camera in.)

I tested this out on some FS700 and Canon 5D Mark II Cinestyle profile footage. I was surprised at how dark it made the FS700 footage appear.

I also have the camera set up to record full range and not some g-log like profile. I found that lifting the blacks in premiere by 16 units made it look good again. Still a nice plugin for getting film-like skintones, and has been really needed for the FS700 since it's color matrix is very scientific even for the "cinema" color matrix.

Is this plug in only for Adobe products? I have FCP 7, FCP X and Premiere Pro CS6. However, because of Adobe's 'software rental'
business model, I will not be spending money with them. If it is an Adobe only upgrade, I hope it will work with CS6 as I have
a FS700 and would like this plug in. If it is only for 'cloud members' you can count me out. However, I can find no information
on this. When going to FilmConvert's website, no mention is made of supporting the FS700. Here are the cameras that ARE
supported according to FilmConvert's website:

"For more accurate results, we are releasing free data packs with profiles of various cameras. Currently released packs:

  • Arri Alexa
  • Blackmagic Cinema camera
  • Canon 5D Mk II
  • Canon 5D Mk III
  • Canon 6D
  • Canon 550D / T2i
  • Canon 600D / T3i
  • Canon 7D / 60D
  • Canon C100
  • Canon C300
  • Canon XF300
  • GoPro Hero
  • Nikon D800
  • Nikon D7000
  • Panasonic GH2
  • Panasonic GH3
  • RED one
  • RED one MX
  • RED EPIC / Scarlet
  • Sony EX3 / EX1"

The demo is free. It works on CS6 and FCP X. FS700 is supported (you'll see it in the list, and also on the add-on download list).

if you dont trust postings above why don't you ask FC directly -> support@filmconvert.com Having a look at their facebook account might be helpful too as their website isn't always up-to-date.

I wasn't saying I didn't trust the posting.....I assumed it was the truth. I was just wondering
where to find out more info about it, since the normal place I look for info on a companies
products, is their website. Thanks for the info on where to find out more on this!

Hello all!

The FS700 profile is now supported on all our plugins - AE / PP / FCPX, FCP7 / Motion and Vegas.

It can also be used on FS100 footage.

We have updated the help page on our site to add the FS700.

We have not released the standalone software with FS700 support, but it is coming in the next week!

Thanks,

Nigel

The GPU support does not work with the new iMacs unfortunately with Premiere Pro CC. Keeps crashing and Filmconvert support says it's due to the GPU. :(

Most people do not have trouble with GPU rendering with Apple computers. Mavericks may fix the problems that some people do have.

It keeps saying:“FilmConvert.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. I just upgraded to Maverick. Is there a solution?

This is the AE plugin or the stand-alone?

Anyway, you need to go to the control-panel, security & privacy, general, allow applications downloaded from -> anywhere.

BTW, the developers I believe maybe working on Mavericks specific issues with some of the plugins/stand-alone at the moment.
