Hi,

I've been trying to match my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera footage to FS700 SLOG2 footage. By trial and error I noticed that the best results I get is when I apply Filmconverts "BMPCC film" profile to Sony FS700 SLOG2 material.

If you're using FS700 with Filmconvert I'd recommend you downloaded the BMPCC profiles and try it out for yourself until Filmconverts comes out with the real deal.

Yepp! I tried all profiles and the BMPCC FILM profile is the best one with fs700 s_log.

I hesitated quite a while but bought FC with black Friday discount.

I shot an industrial run and gun doku indoors under mixed lighting (old fluorescent and new LED working light)
with the 18-200 all with AF in 1600/3200 ISO
All shot in Cinegamma 2 ; grading in FCP X with FilmConvert FS700/ Cine2 Kodak 5213 Vis3 FilmColor 40,0
The result was awesome! You can play a little with density but 40,0 suited me best. Natural beautiful
colors, clean and shiny but not video like. Unfortunately it's all confidential so I can't show a sample
but I wouldn't mention it if I did not consider this setting worth a try for you guys.

I did quite a bit of profile testing with the camera hooked up to an HD TV and found that the stock Picture Profile 6 worked the best in all the lighting conditions tested. Many of the profiles, including custom ones from Ablecine and Noah's nLog had issues in some lighting conditions. As is PP6 doesn't look like video, and with a bit of post color work looks excellent.

Here's a little BTS graded for a documentary look (interviews), then graded for a production look, then extreme grading for the slomo shot: https://vimeo.com/79640340. Stock Picture Profile 6 on the Sony SELP18200 lens, AT4029 mid-side mic, LED light on camera (interview).
