Film transfer

A LITTLE ADVICE PLEASE. If I knew my project was going to be transfered to 35mm film, should I shoot 1080/24PA or 720/24PN? Obviously the benefits of 720 are huge but not if I'm sacrificing resolution for the film transfer. Will there be a noticeable difference?

Definitely 1080/24PA. I'm shooting my film in 1080/24pa for film transfer. However, when I need a slomo shot, I drop down to 720p. I'll up rez the footage later with a special program.

Special program to up the res sounds great. I have some I'll shoot 720 for slo mo as well. Does this up res program work well? Would it have to be done before it's dropped into the 1080 sequence?

I second the 1080 24pA. It gives you more res (about 10%-20%), less compression, and less noise. Only down side is the doubled file sizes. But if you are finishing to film you should have enough in a budget to get a few terabytes of storage.
