To tell you the truth, I have never looked at FreeDV! I suspect the same codecs are in use. As far as exporting a frame - I usualy click in either the source or record monitor and right click (windows) or control/shift click (Mac) and select export. The frame I am parked on will be ther frame exported. If I want a series of frames, I do the same to the sequence in the bin. When the export window appears, go to "options" and select graphic and choose whatever you want. I usually do TIFF at RGB levels so my color correction of 16 - 235 for TV becomes 0 -255 for computer. I select sequential for a series if needed, then away I go.

Yeah, I tried that, and it sure looks like the right process... but the end result is, nothing happens. Oh well. Thought it might work to give me that Avid smoothing codec, but it just doesn't want to cooperate...
