Film makers profile Gear-man

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

whatever.., i do that in my basement. where are the REAL waves? :) that was pretty cool.

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

do u shoot the sportstuff in progressive or interlaced mode?

looks awesome ...huge waves..

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

shoot... i do that type of surfing barefooted and with no board... just my body. And that's just warming up before I do it blindfolded with cotton in my ears. That's where the real thrill is. 8)

Those guys have more guts than I could ever dream...

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

hey gear-man your stuff looks great , the teahupoo footage is insane, what settings were you using?

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

some of the shots were 24p as u can tell of the soft focus..most is set to interlace for editing purposes...since the action is fast and timing is important...pulling focus in the water housing can be a pain...

I used to be heavily into surfing (Married with Child tends to take out alot of the "Used to's"') and have surfed some pretty big waves (15' to 20') but THOSE WAVES scare me.

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

sounds like this calls for a "surf off" well each be strapped to a surfboard, and thrown into the ocean. whoever can surf there way back to their house wins. but i get a head start cause...uh.. the president said so.

Re: Film makers profile Gear-man

:D

For those out there who have never surfed, it is true what they say. It is undeniably and almost undescribaly the coolest thing ever. There truly is no way to describe how it feels dropping into a face and riding a wave.

Amazing, really.
