ive got a possible music video coming up ( my first) and ive just been given the track today. initial thoughts i want to give it a film effect... ( obvious i know but it really has that feel!) and just wondered if people could show me some grabs of stuff that they have shot with and hvx and 35mm adapter with an exaggerated film look... what is a good scene file to use? i know its about the lighting etc aswell but in the past ive seen some great stuff that looks like its come right out of the 'Walton's'

thanks for any help/advice!

CineD, film like color matrix, stay wide open for shallow DOF, stick with longer focal lengths, avoid barrel distortion (not filmic really)

and...

LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT, and light some more. Get ahold of some good lights, Arri Fresnels, Lowel open faced, Rifas, Kinos, whatever, but light it right and the camera will produce some damn legit images.

if you want a more contrasty look use CineV, but if you want to preserve detail and handle contrast in post, then use CineD
