Also does anyone know where i can a catalog of FILM FILTERS, where they show you the different filters and there purpose. Thanks

The bible for cinematographers: American Cinematographer is really good, if you get an subscribsion of the magazine with it, you are set!

Many good books on directing and lighting.
For directing I suggest Gil Bettman's First Time Director, abiger's Directing: Film Techniques and aesthetics, Shot By Shot and also Cinematic Motion by Steven Katz, Directing Actors by Judith Weston, Film Directing Fundementals by Proferes,

Lighting for Television and Film by Millersen,
Lighting For Digital Video and Television by John Jackman
Lighting for Video by Millerson (small paperback Focal Press)

Cinematography by Blain Brown.

Hope that helps.
