File size limit question

On a 5D3 what happens when the file size limit is reached, does the next file automatically get recorded or the camera goes in a stop or pause mode ? I will be recording a full 1 hour non stop event that must contain absolutely uninterrupted audio ( stage play). Can this camera handle that sort of thing ?

A 5D3 that has not been hacked by ML will only record for 29:59. You will then have to hit record again.

Before the 5D3 hits the 29'59" limit it will reach the maximum 4GB file size at about 16 minutes. It will then start recording another file up to the 29'59" limit. There are no dropped frames & your editor should see it as a single clip spanning two files.
