very nice. what settings did you use to capture widescreen (or did you just crop it in post)? Did you unsqueeze it in camera or in post. Thanks

hey, thanks for watching. i shot it in the 1080p AVC 16:9 mode and used anamorphic lenses which squeeze twice the horizontal FOV onto the sensor. i squeezed the video down to 1920x540 then cropped horizontally to 1440 to get the final 2.67:1 image. hope this helps.

+1 You and me both - I have to say of all the GH1(13) footage I've seen, Ryan's footage with Lomos is just...damn, makes me want to rethink my life.

that would be the 35mm.

haha, thanks apocalypse. hope all is well with the feature! i'm trying to get my first one off the ground finally myself.

It's going great, I'm flat out not as good a cinematographer as you are, if you were in Boston I'd just hire you as DP - but our footage looks quite good overall, sound is good, script is very good and the actors are very good, so I'm feeling very confident about this project - we're more than half-way done now with principle photography and that's a good feeling, we're nearing the finish line and we're getting a little bit better every time we shoot.

Still had I been able to hire you with that set of Lomos from the beginning, that would have been awesome - then I could have just directed instead of trying to direct and run camera simultaneously....next time, next time...you know, when there's a real budget...
