We did a movie on an EX1 and need to record different sounds for post production audio. Rather than running around with an EX1 and a Sennheiser 416, I plan on getting a small firld recorder for recording ambiance and sound effects.
What do you think about the following field recorder for recording audio effects and field ambiance?
ZOOM H2b
Zoom H2n Handy Audio Recorder Review | Gadget Experts
How would you rate this unit sound quality wise? Is the sound quality on the level of professional movie recording? It's main advantage is the 5.1 recording. It's predecessor, the H2 had quite a success. I just don't know if this tool is good enough for the job.
Am I better off recording ambiance with an EX1 and Sennheiser 416 mono?
Or is there a better product for the job, say Tascam?
Thank you.
