Fido

Did the producers unearth Jimmy Stewart for this film?

Looks like it could go either way. The trailer looks pretty predictable with the same joke repeated over and over. I'm definitely hopeful that the zombies can stay alive!!! (as a genre)

Don't go into the theatre expecting the next Shaun of the Dead. It had some laughs but were mostly pompous snobby laughs, not rolling on the floor funny. All in all, it was a flawed film and over-rated (at least here in Canada-where it was made). Enjoyable, well done, but a little underproduced and as a result wont transfer too well with the masses.

Too bad, I had high hopes. I will probably end up watching it anyway.

It was the most expensive BC made Canadian film to date. Wish we would try doing something indigenous and genre that isnt a parody, satire or comedy. It pokes fun at US 50s-60s sci-fi genre movies too. I would rather watch a Them! or Invasion of the Saucer Men than what we were making at the time.

People in glass houses....

Over-rated? I saw maybe 3 commercials for this thing a few months back (maybe more), and never heard anything else about it. I never even noticed it in theatres.

It's out on DVD? I never planned on seeing it, but seems like this film was under the radar all the way.
