F5: fffin firmware!

Since I stated using my F5 on real jobs, I've noticed a few firmware issues. I thought it might be useful if we kept a list so that other users wouldn't feel alone.
So far I've got the following - anyone found more?

1) If I set audio input tone to say neg -20, the SDI embedded output level will be low.

2) If you use the v/f menu to bring up bars, when you return to the picture the zebra's have disapeared. The only way to get them back is camera off/on again.

3) Support for Sony SCL-Z18x140 lens missing from V1.0 firmware.

4) Audio levels only adjustable through v/f menu.

5) MLUTs missing unless you buy an R5 recorder.

6) Ability to name files missing.

I hope Sony will at least release a statement regarding any immediate firmware fixes, it is so like them to work hard and fast behind the scenes but in the meantime not stop to communicate to anyone.

Not sure if the new firmwares are going to fix your issues, but when I picked up my camera yesterday, they put on 1.03, and they said within the next couple of days there will be 1.1 out. As Nate mentioned, they seem to be working very fast, and listening..

They are not publicly communicating, but they're taking care of people who have bought.

I suspect the view is not to invite criticism from folks that have no intention of buying the camera.

that is great to hear, hopefully as frustrating as it is to be an early (or first in this case) adopter people realize that no matter how much testing is done in advance, or time taken to thouroughly develop software, the true test is once you throw it out in the wild.
