New FE full frame E mount lenses coming !

We can add one more lens in the FE range, the 70-200mm f/4.0 OSS FE Zeiss. I also have been told that all lenses are weathersealed (just like the A7 and A7r cameras). So here is the list of lenses Sony will announce next week on October 16 at 5-6am London time (be sure to be on SonyAlphaRumors at that time to follow the event live):Zeiss FE 24-70mm f/4.0 OSS (likely on market in early 2014)
Sony G 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 (don’t know if it’s OSS)
Zeiss FE 35mm f/2.8 (with that lens on the A7/A7R) the camera-lens size is the same of the RX1/R)
Zeiss FE 55mm f/1.8
Zeiss FE 70-200mm f/4.0 OSS (likely on market in early 2014)
I have been told there is a lens roadmap that Sony could show too

Sony has announced no fewer than five 'FE' full frame E-mount lenses to accompany the A7 and A7R. First up is the FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS, an image-stabilised 'kit' zoom for the A7. There are three premium lenses with Zeiss badges: the FE 55mm F1.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Sonnar T*, the FE 35mm F2.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Sonnar T*, and the FE 24-70mm F4 ZA OSS Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar T*. The fifth lens is a 'G' class telezoom, the FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS.Sony has also updated its Alpha-mount fast telezoom to make the 70-200mm F2.8G SSM II. This lens gains faster autofocus and updated 'Nano AR' coatings, and is now specified as dust and moisture resistant.
The 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS is the basic 'kit' zoom for the A7, and won't be sold separately. The 35mm F2.8 will cost $799, and be available in December 2013, while the 55mm F1.8 will cost $999 and be in stores January 2014. The premium 24-70mm F4 OSS Carl Zeiss standard zoom will cost $1199 and go in sale in February 2014; pricing and availability of the 70-200mm F4 OSS telezoom are still to be confirmed.
All told, Sony plans to offer a total of 15 FE lenses by 2015, including a macro and a wide-angle zoom.

This is the Sony FE Lens roadmap! What we can expect:
- One Zeiss fast prime lens in 2014 (hurray!)
- One Zeiss f/4.0 wide angle zoom
- One G macro lens
- By end of 2015 a total of 15 lenses will be released (today’s five announced lenses included).

There's also the Sony SEL2870 FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS, slower and not quite as wide but somewhat cheaper at $499: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GTXHQ8Q . I had one briefly but decided to return it and get their new 4k camera instead.

Well I just purchased the Sony SEL2870 FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS on ebay for $335 and the AF along with the OSS works great with it. The VG900 looks like it was made for that size lens and the balance is perfect.

I just purchased the 24-200mm Tokina full frame zoom with Nikon mount and a Nikon E mount adapter for under $100 on ebay . So far I like it since the VG900 is so great in low light I could even use the 200mm FL in low light ( indoors on a rainy day ) with the aperture ring set to F8 that might be closer to F13 @200mm.

Holy cow that's cheap! Do you happen to know what the minimum focus distance is on that lens? I can't seem to find that spec. Also do you happen to know at about what focal length does it switch to f5.6? Shame they don't make an e-mount version.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Looks like a 3 foot minimum focus distance, too much for me to use alas

I would guess the 24-200mm hits 5.6 at about 150mm or so. My fast F1.4 24mm,35mm and 50mm primes focus close so I really don't care if the 24-200mm is 3ft. At 200mm 3 ft will do a head shot.
