Felon

A friend of mine brought it for us to watch yesterday and even thought I thought the story was pretty week I really like the gritty/grainy cinematography (specially if you see it on HD). But what amazed me the most on this movie was Val Kilmers' performance on a more or less small role. I think it's his best for a long time. Very constrained and subtle in a part that could easily be overacted.

It was pretty cheesy if you ask me, just another straight to dvd type flick. I was surprised Kilmer was in this type of movie. Same old plot type stuff, bad prison guards, a good guy prisoner, ect, ect. And the absurdity of Kilmer having an Affliction tattoo on is next was just too much for me.
