felliniesque film

I wish you the best for your premiere. Please tell us how it goes.

I really like that artwork. It's mysterious but intriguing to me. And for a rock n' roll musical, it can be nice to see something like that instead of something like a band on stage, though that can be nice too.

Today is the world premiere of THE RED QUEEN in Smithfield, North Carolina! at the Ava Gardner Indie Film Festival. Here is the link to the latest trailer:

Here's a piece of art work for the movie:

The official website for the movie is: http://www.felliniesque.com
And you can see the trailer at Youtube as well:

Break a leg. And this is still the best trailer for this film so far. When your remake the trailer it should be something like this, and include the song, but of course shorter and with more dialogue. Your "Butterflies" trailer is the best example. It's very compelling. I think you should re-imagine this one like you did that one. It's about the clips and the music. The dialogue should give us some clue as to what it's all about. "Red" on the streets talking to people about their talent was compelling. I think it should end like the other where she says, "What do you want from these kids?" and the guy says, "I want them to play my kind of music."

Thanks, Gilbert. That's the art work that the festival organizer chose for the premiere. I'm waiting to hear from someone who saw the movie there.

I'll be working on the new trailer, Nate. You helped me cut the BUTTERFLIES IN THE WIND trailer also. You chose my 13th version as the best one!

I hope I won't have to cut 16 trailers for this one too before I get it right.LOL

Hey, Brandon. I'm assuming you mean in the trailers on my website at http://www.felliniesque.com ?

I use DV Kitchen for encoding .flv's for flash video display.

For short trailers made from HDV, I choose 480x360 letterboxed, 800 bits, de-interlace, 29.97 fps. For one minute trailers I end up with 7MBs, and the quality looks good to me and the trailer plays without hangups even on a middle-range bandwidth connection.

If you're question is about the movie settings for THE RED QUEEN, let me know; I will write more about that if you're interested.

I watched the first few minutes, and it was intriguing and nicely made. I would be interested to see more. Have you heard anything about your premiere? Also, how much does it cost to screen the full film online like that? I might be interested in that for mine.

You can see whole 83 minute movie THE RED QUEEN streaming online for $1.99 !!! with a 7 day window. If you want to download it, it's like $19.95 and if you want the DVD, it's $24.95.

It takes a while for Amazon to add the Video on Demand feature, so you should start with http://www.CreateSpace.com and sign up with them. They will lead you through the steps of uploading the information and sending in the authored DVD to them. They take care of everything. It won't cost you anything; except for the postage.

She would love that. We went to see the last James Bond movie together. She really liked the movie. I was surprised because there was too much action, hardly any story -- well, except for the usual premise.LOL

Here's Liv with Burt Ward (Robin in Batman):

well, a $100 million may have been an exaggeration; how about $1 million?LOL
I know how to take a movie to an international market and sell a few hundred thousands dollars; but how does one sell a rock-n-roll musical for $1.99 on the Internet?

There has to be a happy medium...

Here's why I love Fellini movies -- the opening scene of 8 & 1/2:

The Red Queen was shot ala Federico Fellini over a period of two years. It is my first truly felliniesque movie. I created the webstie www.felliniesque.com for the sake of pursuing the felliniesque style of filmmaking. This is an innovative style; filmmaking is becoming too structured again because of the digital equipment; it's too much concern with technology and not enough with the art.
