Fellini Directs Again!

Thank you so much for the info. Although I only accept invitations for the premiere of my feature films, I will consider supporting the cause of the Ventura Film Festival, which is the preservation of Forests and Ocean Floors. This is a truly worthwhile cause.

Thanks again for the info.

I'm preparing Felliniesque Players for its World Premiere. Thanks everybody for your help and feedback. Soon it will be time to say, "Roll cameras!" and I'll be shooting my second felliniesque feature FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN!

Fellini Directs Again! will go before the cameras in early June. I will keep you posted here on this thread. This will be a blog of the production, post production and distribution of FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN! Your advice and comments will help me make a better movie. Thanks in advance :-)

Nice, we're looking at a June 30 start for our project now. How's casting going? I would love to shoot in LA, where the actors beat down the door to get in. Chicago has a lot of talent but they swarm you in LA.

Tough decisions regarding the cast. There are so many ways to go with FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN! Too many choices can be a bad thing too :-) I'd like to see you shoot in LA, because you're really ready: you have what it takes to break out. You're great with concepts and you write good copy. You will take off inside of professional surroundings.

You need to find the budget for two weeks in a studio in LA (shoot your main action) and add the finishing touches (inserts) in Chicago. Look into extensive use of Green Screen....

Yeah, we're looking at extensive use of green screen right now. I'm messing around with keylight in After Effects right now to get it down.

I'll be using Green Screen on my next project as well. I think certain projects can benefit from Green Screen techniques more than others. I'm going to have to learn After Effects. I wonder what's the best system to build to be able to work with After Effects fully.

I'm using AE, but just discovered the Keylight plugin. I was searching the internet for this thing. So I'm like "Wow, I'll have to buy this later." Then I remembered I had the Pro version of AE. I did a search and low and behold it was all ready in the third party plug ins folder. I'm doing test now using some of the Sam Loya clips from Video Copilot. You'll love it. For this project it will be mainly floating and transparency.

you'll be able to use your locations much more efficiently
I'm looking forward to learning some of this stuff from you.

I prefer the studio for Fellini Directs Again! because that's how Fellini worked: everything was filmed on a set with props ... even a giant ship as in the "AND THE SHIP SAILS ON" -- loved that movie.

Looks like it's going to be the AFM and Berlinale for Fellini Directs Again! I'm going to be a rep for other movies too. Let me know if you need a rep. I make avant garde movies (ahead of the crowd :-) and so there will be no conflict of interest in representation. Also I do not cross collatorize; each movie is sold separately.

In FELLINIESQUE PLAYERS the older queen chick likes raves. I'll admit this, it's a weird addictive trailer.

Trying to figure out how to get to the set and back -- a transportation issue. No-budget filmmaking means 0 budget :-)

The AFM is coming up soon. Contact me if you have a feature length movie that needs representation: vic@releasing.net

I will be taking Felliniesque Players (my own movie), plus a few other films from other DVXusers.

Starting tomorrow I'm interviewing actors for FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN! I'm also looking for 4 camera operators who want to learn making feature films. This is going to be a one day shoot for the operators; but it's like a whole course of study in filmmaking. I've inspired a lot of people to become filmmakers while shooting my movies. You will also get shots for your reels. You have to have a HiDef camera. HDV is fine. Any HiDef format I can edit in FCP 5.04 as an HDV native project or AIC Codec.
