Fellini Directs Again!

I found out that all SAG movies are done in 35mm! I didn't know that!

Another 200 people submitted pictures and resumes.

music ala Nino Rota
poster ala La Dolce Vita
a recommendation: actor in Hollywood who can play Federico Fellini :-)

Anything else you might offer?
Check out my movie FELLINIESQUE PLAYERS -- trailer at http://www.felliniesque.com

I shot my first feature in Norway and worked there the first five years shooting and editing theatrical feature films.

My passion is the felliniesque style of filmmaking. FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN! is going to me my second felliniesqe movie.

I wish I knew about your festival - European Film Academy. Wow! A great group of people. Hope to get to know some of you and maybe have FELLINIESQUE PLAYERS screened there.

Thanks again....

Another two hundred submissions. Mostly electronic. The trend seems to be electronic submission; but I'm starting to get some hard copies.

FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN! is going to be a highly rewarding project for actors because I'm giving them footage from the shoot at the end of the first week of shooting.

I have to start looking for locations today, or maybe find one location where I can shoot the whole movie -- like a studio :-) That would be nice -- on no budget at that.

I put the call up on Twitter and Facebook ... wow ... I'm getting twittered. I'm getting submission via Twitter and Facebook! Holy Toledo -- never thought of that angle before -- just did it.

today I have to make some decisions regarding casting. Since this is an indie feature, I can't use SAG talent. If I had the budget I'd do SAG of course AND shoot 35mm; but I have to be thankful for the wonderful response from SAG eligible talent and some up and coming talented people who are still waiting to apply for their SAG cards, even though they have sufficient credit in TV, but they want a big role to launch them, so they won't only end up with bit parts in movies. Once established in the foreign market as stars, they will be able to move on to SAG movies in starring roles or at least in supporting and co-starring roles.

I'm wondering if you know someone who can play Federico Fellini in my feature FELLINI DIRECTS AGAIN!

He should be about 50 to 60 years old
Fluency in Italian or at least who can do Italian accent

email me: vic@felliniesque.com

I mean, can you think of an actor who can do the role? Or one who would be right for the role ... say, if money were no object. LOL ... just your gut reaction.

Wild trailer, in the classic filmman long form style. LOL. I notice Filmman hates letting people know what his films about in his trailers. Great visuals, hot babes, a weird queen chick and a lot going on but what's the story man, what's the story? I wanna know. Oh, by the way Vic, my twitter account is up and working.

-Nate

Adam! Bigger, bigger ... names LOL. Think Anthony Quinn level :-) Like... er... don't know why I'm drawing a blank! I'm supposed to make this movie about Fellini!

Nate, I can't figure this Twitter thing yet. How do I communicate with the people following me. I mean the Hawaii International Film Festival is following me, but they won't respond to my call for invitation. I want them to invite Felliniesque Players. It will even be a great film to open up their festival. FELLINIESQUE PLAYERS is spectacular.

And Nate, that's the hallmark of felliniesque movies. There is no story in the traditional sense. The story is the filmmaker. Like sort of what you've been saying about marketing the movie is marketing yourself.LOL

Yea, I had to figure the bloody thing out myself. It's very simple but if you don't know, you're like "What is this about?" Click on the curved arrow by the person's update and that will allow you to reply. The more you reply it seems, the more people will follow you. If you follow a big name or can get a big name to follow you that's even better. Everyone sees your comments and the more interesting your comments (the more interesting you are as a person) the better. The trash button deletes your comment.

Okay, that explains a lot. LOL. I remember discussing Fellini in film school. It's like stream of consciousness filmmaking?

-Nate

Yeah I always loved stream of consciousness writing too You don't have use punctuation LOL what's your name on twitter couldn't find you

Thanks for showing me how to twitter! Now I'm going to be sending messages to all those people that have been following me. Maybe the Hawaii Film Festival will invite my feature FELLINIESQUE PLAYERS to play there. That would be awesome. I'll shoot a movie about being invited to Hawaii :-)

Also, now I'm following you on Twitter too.

Hey, Chris~ I would like someone who looks more like Fellini -- I guess, he was kind of unique looking. I have a lot of his pictures at http://www.felliniesque.com Please help me come up with a name who can shoot my movie into the stratosphere. I'm going for it...LOL

Hey, Nate~ I got the Hawaii film festival considering playing FELLINIESQUE PLAYERS! This twitter thing is really taking off.

So you got an offer for your DVX 100 from Nigeria? LOL I had a guy asking me to buy a $62,000 Sony for him. I only talk about 35mm cameras on my site, so I was a little flustered. So I asked him what they were using in Nigeria, PAL or NTSC? He said PAL. I said to him, well, buy directly from Sony. I gave him the link even.

It turned out he was not from Nigeria but from Spain. And then he forgot about the camera and he said he wanted to invest $80 mill in my productions. I didn't know anything about the "Nigeria scams" yet, so I hesitated and then started doing due dilligence, you know, asking questions, but he couldn't wait and "deposited" the $80 mill in my "account" in a "Spanish bank" with logo and website.

He wrote to me, "the money is there" just log in and type in this user name and password and you'll have access to the $80 mill. LOL It wasn't funny then.

So I was curious and clicked on the URL in the email and WITHOUT HAVING TO ENTER USER NAME AND PASSWORD! there I was on this page that had the bank logo and my account ... with $80 mill in it! Nate, it was a sight to behold!

It cured me.

I said, so what, even if you have $80 mill. You still need to make a good movie ... otherwise it won't sell or make any money.

That's why I say, forget the money -- just make the best movie you know how.

Oh, and the guy from Spain kept bugging me, "the money has been stolen from the bank, the bank has gone bankrupt and you're liable." I sent his emails to the FBI and haven't heard anything more about it. He also asked me at one point to send 47,000 Euros for "terrorist clearance" or some such nonsense. What a nightmare it was at the time.

Now I get offers from all over the world, "you have $137,000,000 left for you by this widow and that general that was killed somewhere -- LOL -- so many scams on the Internet. We really should make a movie about them.
