PowerMac G5 - 2.7 Dual Processor
2GB RAM
160GB Internal Drive
CD/DVD Superdrive
ATI Video card with 2x DVI output
Airport Extreme Wireless Extender
Comes loaded with Mac OS 10.4.11, has a fresh install of it.
No additional software is included.
Includes G4-style mouse and keyboard, DVI cable, Apple microphone (90s) (unopened)
A little background:
This model may be several years old, but I edit on a G5 2.0, and I cut HD from an HVX and Canon 7D all the time, run AE and Motion, and it's a solid machine. Obviously not as fast, but when you consider the cheapest new Mac Pro is $2500... I'm pretty happy with my current machine... and this one that I'm selling is faster!
Reason for selling:
My work had an extra mac lying around not being used that I bought off them. It has seen moderate use in a classroom, and has some cosmetic wear and tear, but flies when running. They used to use some of these (maybe not this one?) in their digital video labs for FCP, AE. I was going to take the RAM/HDDs for my own machine, but it's PCI-X, not PCIe, which is what I have, so I'm stuck with an extra machine.
$600 OBO (remember, this is a feeler, so if you are interested PLEASE leave a comment saying so... if there's no interest I'll go elsewhere with this)
