[WTB] Feeler, MAC PRO

I may be in the market for a used Mac Pro, but am looking to purchase a used one in excellent condition to do work with FCP. I've been scouring the web and doing some research on Macs and have narrowed it down to 2.8ghz dual-quad 8-core unit (2008 model i believe).

Just testing the waters here to see if anyone has one for sale and for what price. please feel free to send me a PM. thank you!
 
I just bought that same model on ebay. 4 gigs of ram 4x1tb hitachi 7200rpm drives for $1550 + $75 shipping. It was dirtier than I had hoped but I'm pretty freaky about clean keyboards and dust. $1500-$2200. That's pretty much the price range depending on the setup. As usual be smart on ebay but there are quite a few available. I opted for buying from a private party and not a leased gear clearance outfit. Not sure what your work flow permits but i have a G5 quad 2.5 with 1 tb internal and 16gb ram I'll be selling soon. It has a Kona LHe board and esata card in it with unused cables and a breakout box which I'll sell together or apart. As per my clean affliction it's all spotless. Happy hunting either way.

Thanks for the offer but I'm kind of set on the 2x 2.8ghz quad. Good luck with your sale!
 
i have that exact machine and ive been tossing around the idea of going "mobile-only" its got 16g of OWC ram, a decklink SDI card and a caldigit "fasta" e-sata card.
internal 320g and 1tb drives. and the original box and packaging.

i'll probably make the decision late this coming week
