We need to be able to take feeds into the cameras from an external source.
After some careful reading of the manual, I found out that the camera can only receive external video and audio when it is in tape mode. I think this is a silly design, but whatever.
So, I've tried it and I'm able to get the external video into the camera, but no matter what I do, the audio isn't coming in.
I've tried every setting imaginable both on the camera controls and within the camera menus. The manual says that audio can be taken in from an external source only if the external video is plugged in via the S-Video cable or Video IN/OUT jack, which it is.
Still, I get nothing.
Any ideas?
