Seems like every time one of these threads pops up, and you talk about Federer, he loses.Of course, by saying that, I have now cursed federer and he will never win so much as a game of monopoly again...
I have discovered that I have an amazing power. I can kill anyone's career. All I have to do is go on record on DVXUser saying that they're great.
This is the second time it's happened; I proclaimed him the greatest over a year ago, and he tanked up until last May... now I say he's the G.O.A.T. and he just implodes immediately thereafter. This appears to be a powerful evil that I can wield.
Or ... maybe I can only kill Roger Federer's career... we apparently have some sort of link... maybe he tried to kill me when I was a baby, which is why I have this scar. Except that I don't really have a scar, and I'm quite a bit older than him, so... I must have tried to kill him as a baby. I don't remember doing that, but -- hey, who can remember everything they did 30 years ago?
So -- yeah. Well. How disappointing. Sorry Fed, didn't mean to jinx you again.
LINKIn beating Roger Federer in Sunday's final of the Madrid Open, Rafael Nadal became the first man to win three straight Masters 1000 events and surpassed Andre Agassi as the most prolific Masters champion of all time. He also sent a signal to the rest of the tour that the tiny sliver of hope they had to knock off Nadal at the French Open just slammed shut. Rafa -- the real Rafa who is the best clay-court player in history -- is back.
He didn't look like he was all that devastated by the loss. But then, he doesn't have a whole lot left to do.
Yeah, I'm pretty pumped for next week(end). We are seeing talent in the tennis world today that I haven't seen in my lifetime.
Whoa, seriously. This is probably the worst era for talent I've ever seen in 30 years of watching.
