Federer

I should find a way to make money off this superpower. Maybe just by betting heavily against him, and then proclaiming that he'll win. Could it be that easy? Too bad I don't live in Vegas anymore...

How about this.... Next time Nadal and Federer face off start a thread proclaiming that Nadal can't be beat. See if it works in reverse.

I'm really looking forward to that next match. Hopefully it's a good one.

And I thought Barry was only this passionate about cameras. Sheesh.

He hasn't talked this much since the release of the first DVX100.

LOL

Fair enough BG

We'll continue this in 5 years.

But HEAD TO HEAD is where this started; not who is the best player or who has had the best career.

Great post though

I have discovered that I have an amazing power. I can kill anyone's career. All I have to do is go on record on DVXUser saying that they're great.

This is the second time it's happened; I proclaimed him the greatest over a year ago, and he tanked up until last May... now I say he's the G.O.A.T. and he just implodes immediately thereafter. This appears to be a powerful evil that I can wield.

Or ... maybe I can only kill Roger Federer's career... we apparently have some sort of link... maybe he tried to kill me when I was a baby, which is why I have this scar. Except that I don't really have a scar, and I'm quite a bit older than him, so... I must have tried to kill him as a baby. I don't remember doing that, but -- hey, who can remember everything they did 30 years ago?

So -- yeah. Well. How disappointing. Sorry Fed, didn't mean to jinx you again.

Despite my wholly rationalist POV on Life, the Universe, and Everything, it couldn't hurt too much to ask you to give a quick song to RF's praises tonight, could it, Barry?

Federer vs Murray LIVE SCORES

Cheers -

Okay, you got it.

Proving Nadal to be nothing more than a flash in the pan, Federer has obviously proven that he's the G.O.A.T. by re-ascending to the #1 title, and in fact pulling away with an absolutely dominant lead in the tour rankings, opening up a thousand points over the plummeting Nadal. (okay, Nadal's only plummeted to two, but hey, a journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step, right?) Lots of people were singing Andy Murray's praises, but Fed's got a over a 50% tour point advantage! Murray's clanking along with 6630 points, and Fed's got over 10,000. Even Djokovic (best known for his impressions, not his actual tennis) is ranked ahead of Murray.

Federer is a lock to regain the end-of-year #1 ranking, and with his renewed game he will probably sweep the entire grand slam in 2010.

(there, that should do it, Murray should now win handily -- is there a bookie "stock exchange" where I can sell Federer shares short?)

Glad to help out our UK brothers... :D

Figured I would update this thread...

In beating Roger Federer in Sunday's final of the Madrid Open, Rafael Nadal became the first man to win three straight Masters 1000 events and surpassed Andre Agassi as the most prolific Masters champion of all time. He also sent a signal to the rest of the tour that the tiny sliver of hope they had to knock off Nadal at the French Open just slammed shut. Rafa -- the real Rafa who is the best clay-court player in history -- is back.

It's nice to have two such talented players square off. Can't wait for the next time.
Bring on the French Open.

Yeah, I'm pretty pumped for next week(end). We are seeing talent in the tennis world today that I haven't seen in my lifetime.

Rafa is the man. Novak has beat in the last 3 meetings (all on hard court)

If rafa wins this, Fed's GOAT status is history.
