feature teaser

Looked cool. Wasn't that the guy from Animal House? You know the one on the horse :cheesy:

Great job.

Hey if you got a distribution deal you've done something right. I believe that although the japanese horror look has become over saturated, it should still market well. I start the distribution battle soon. Can't wait to check this one out.

Very nice work here. Even though it's early in post, it still looks polished. The lighting and camera work look well thought out. Keep us updated.

Yep...it's very cliche...but should have a few good scares. As it's going direct to video next year, you can imagine that post production hasn't even begun, (the bulk of which I'm not even doing)

That being said...which shots look very video? I threw this together from first takes as I havent even gone through all the dailys...so If something does stand out...I'd make a note of it.

Music is just temp scoring from...I think Gothika...with sfx added for good measure.

As for the rotten apple...don't sweat it man. Each to his own. I got paid...and there's a distribution deal...so I already had my luck. I do agree with you though...it will be dated in not too long, but there are enough people that are just discovering the genre to warrant "one more" entry. Either the producers are idiots or market savvy...we'll see.

Thanks again for all your comments.
The shots at the beginning of the girl walking into the house with the video camera look video to me... Just the shakiness of the camera more than anything else... Just my 2cents...

Everyone's cents is welcome...thanks for letting me know!

I love it a lot man. At exactly 1:08 in the trailer, there's a very quick shot of the guy in a baseball cap standing near a window at night. I was curious as to how that scene was lit, and what type of light you threw in from outside.

Why the FREAK did I watch THAT right before I go to bed?! Nice job ... looks like one I wouldn't want to watch by my self ... yep, I'm a wimp.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks. Scene was lit by a 2 Totas with blue gels. One comming in through the window and the other bounced off the rear wall for a fill.

Smithhouse. Not sure what the problem is. It's encoded for Media player 9. Did you try right clicking and saving?

I can't wait to see this....I hated all the jap horror films, but it won't phase me. I've been watching this project forever and it just looks really top-notch to me. The shot of the girl getting out of the car w/ the clouds behind her is awesome. Sky looks great. Great job and good luck.
