As some of you may know I have posted some trailers in the past, but as of today I have a near final copy of what I have been working on for the past 6 months ever since I bought my first camera(dvx100b) Sometimes only being able to shoot one day a month due to not being able to pay anyone. The movie roughly had a 300 dollar budget and was shot in about 2 weeks over the span of half a year, hopefully it will get picked up if I push it hard enough. I think It is really ambitious for a seriously no budget film shot in my tiny **** town. Tell me what you guys think and if anyone can help me with information on getting distributed other than just throwing it in film fests and hoping for the best let me know ;)

Hi Logan. It really looks nice. Before going out to distributors, I think you should make a more explanatory trailer... Maybe with some narrator telling about the movie etc... Overall, I find it very succesfull under all limitations...

yeh it looks good Logan. luving the grading. what did you use to grade? I also agree with Sanai...some more explanation is needed. If i didnt read your thing at the bottom i wouldnt know whats going on. Also i think you could cut it to 2mins.

But nice work....and congrats on getting it DONE!

how long is it by the way?

Sweet! I love the style and tone of this trailer, great shots, great costumes, great style. A job well done.

All I would say is that if your going to start hitting distributors, it should probably be around 1min 40 max - you gotta hit em hard and quick, you have the material to do so, Id just trim this down a little.

Good luck man and don't give up!

It is stretched horizontally, and at 1:54 shows both combing and ghosting ==> bad deinterlacing.

What's great and what doesn't look

What's great and what doesn't look

A: Great Things this director did and you can do for virtually FREE :
1) (01:17) You can accomplish HUGE effects at zero cost with COOL FRAMING
2) (01:31) Same with LACK of light shaping the framing
3) (01:50) Same with VARYING PACING and focusing on SMALL DETAILS, the guy with bloody plastic gloves rubbing his fingers together.
4) KEPT GOING in spite of problems, some months only one day.
5) GREAT Taste in music and finding collaborators ( You have permissions I assume)

B: Things he ****ed up and you should not:

4) People have to have some idea what the **** is going on, but don't SPOON FEED it to them; it's an insult.
5) (00:17) SOME kind of CLOSE MIKING for actors in echoey spaces. Zero budget reality thrust into audience's face with "hollow" sound.
6) CLEAR EXPOSITION of some kind of PLOT.
7) Recognizable HERO with whom to identify.

The trailer looks too long to me, i prefer short trailers maybe 30 secs or so. If it was me i'd make it shorter and create some sort of appetizer for the film it self. Short and sweet and well paced.

I like the silluette of the soldier in the resevoir tunnel and the dude saying "its all a god damn mess!!" ya could have this guy saying that earliar in the trailer towards the begining and try generate more energy to reel in the veiwer.

Well done! It looks like a cool bmovie.
