Feature Film shot in India

The footage looks absolutely stellar brother. You mention skew as being the major downfall of the GH2 footage... did you not get that with the AF100? Both have rolling shutter issues, so I assumed they would both behave somewhat similarly in that fashion.

What was your go-to lens? As in, no time to think, bam, slap that lens on the cam and run.

Seriously, great work.

Thanks for the compliments. As for skew, there is no comparison. The Af100 is waaaaay better at handling it. There is way for horsepower in the AF100 to handle this problem. Honestly outdoors we used the 14-140 most. It has the range and was stabilized. Indoors we used the panasonic 20mm 1.7 a lot as well.

It's kind of like my grandfather used to say, "it's not the bow & arrow . . . it's the indians that make the difference."
First class Bgundu work (as always).
Thank you for, yet again, giving me something to shoot for!

That little trailer ought to be a stickie (or required viewing) for these types that purchase the AF-100 which then ends up in the MarketPlace with all their reasons why it doesn't work for them . . . ha ha.
You go Bob!

To be honest, we wanted to make this film feel so real. We had almost no lighting setups in this film. We essentially used one LED panel to accent a little. We let the actors take centre stage, as they always should. This film will not look over produced. It's pretty raw. And yes, the film is in Hindi.

Exquisite imagery, Bob- beautifully done!

How difficult was it juggling the light from the streetlights and flourescents? Did you have LCD lighting with you?

Is the dialogue in Hindi?

Kudos, man!

Great stuff. I've been to India twice and the shots of the train reminded me of my 7 hour train ride..complete with urine flowing through the car. Great times :-)

Wow! I can't believe I almost missed this thread. Really great! The one with the girl lying in the woman's arms watching people walk around them is so beautiful, the guy on the phone, the light in the woman's eyes... nice. It's all very beautiful. Congratulations. I would love to see this film and hear more about the shoot. You've restored my faith in using the GH2 as a b cam. Goodness, that looks splendid. Nice going, Man!

How did you like the hyperprime? I just ordered it so I'm curious about your experience. Also anything you can share about settings/correction intercutting the GH2 with the AF100 would be extremely welcome. I just watched the teaser again this morning.. smoking.
