So I'm working as an intern on a movie called "A Dangerous Place".

I operate camera and help set up some scenes...only because there's only a few of us on this as crew.

We're shooting with the HVX200 in 1080i 24pA and its amazing!!

Shoot in Cranford. We had a portion of the street shut down to film a chase sequence.

The only reason I did a few posts is because your limited to 12 pictures per post..so I figured I go crazy while it's still at the beginning.

We're shooting till the first week of November...so expect lots of pics.

You better be gettin paid kiddo.... yo ucan operate cmaera on a film like that and get nothing...

You operate camera, set up scenes, use a steadicam...and you said you're an "intern"? I hope that's not your title on the credits.

It's not. I'm pretty sure my titles are going to be Technical Assistant...Camera Operator...and Grip.
Ive only set up like 2 scenes...so I'm not even sure if I should even consider that a job as a grip...I just sit around on a couch and listen to my MP3 player before the director or producer tell me to man a camera or help out the grips and gaffers..

What kind of crane is that?

It's a Glidecam crane...not sure of the exact model.

How can it be 1080i 24pA? I'm not HD savy but isn't that contradictory?

1080 standard is interlaced. So it pretty much is working just like the DVX...the 24p footage is in the 60i data stream.

Oh and those lights...are the Coolights that are advertised here. They are bright as hell.

Hah! Cool Lights CL-255 I see there... Nice.

Edit: I just noticed you mentioned the unit. Thanks. Hope its doing all you need it to.

Just finished a feature shoot a couple weeks ago, we had two cool lights on set and man did we love those things. They were particularly useful when we went to an alley location at night where there was no power, we hooked an inverter to the director's van, plugged a cool light in and had plent of light to shoot a nice, dark, night, alley scene :)

I definitely recommend these cool lights, and plan to get more.

Looks like a cool shoot D-Boz ... looking forward to more pics

Nice. What size was it--2, 4 or 6?
