Hi ,
I am visiting a friend and he has two FDR AX-100 cameras. Both purchased 12 months apart.
Around the beginning of last week a day or two apart both cameras stopped recognizing SD cards.
At first he thought that the SD cards had been corrupted so he tried new SD cards all Class 10 and still no good.
The camera displays a message that the SD card is unrecognizable and continues to give the "NO SD Card icon" flashing.
It seems too much of a coincidence that both cameras have failed around the same time.
Sony repair have only said to send them both in and it would be $500 labor and $400 parts to replace the sd card readers.
Before he sends them in for repair does any body have any suggestions??
cheers
Tony
