FD to E mount adapters - with or w/o optical element?

Hello everyone,

I'm a little confused about the fd to e mount adapters. There is a normal one:

And one with some glass in it:

What's the difference? Will it matter in the A7s?

The one without glass is the one you want for tha a7s, which uses a Sony E mount. The one with glass allows you to use FD lenses on cameras with a Sony A mount (and since that mount has a longer focal flange distance, that bit of glass is needed to mantain infinity focus; it usually kills the image quality too, but anyway, no need for that on the a7s).
