FCPX and the iPad

Just wondering what you think the integration might be here. With Apple putting iMovie on the iPad, you'd think they would have something in store for iPad/FCPX compatibility. (Afterall, Adobe made parts the entire CS5.5 iPad compatible)

Obviously, it's not going to be the whole program. But what do you think will happen?

My guess/hope is the iPad will serve as a dedicated color wheel for 3-way color correction.

Any thoughts?

I have playhead for the iPhone. Haven't given the iPad version a spin yet. I'll have to give vWing a go....

Playhead is iPhone only, but in 2x mode looks good on iPad.
vWave-Lite is iPad only.
I use an MC Color, but in testing vWave-Lite, I've found it to be very awesome. Screw dragging your mouse around a color wheel...

No, I dont think apple will extend FCP onto the iPad. Most probably, you may see more things like live video streaming to the iPad from the camera... but of course this would be 3rd party as well.
I cant see them extending controls over to the iPad, as apple would rather you spend big money on another monitor.
Everything you want can already be done with most 3rd party apps.

Check out "Handheld Hollywood", tons of iPhone/iPad stuff there. Yes, your iPad can be a remote monitor for your camera, already.

I'm expecting to see a "Share via FaceTime" option in the menu of FCPX, which of course will work with the iPhone/iPad.

As a live monitor or playback only? I can't find anything like that on that site.

I remember seeing some success with monitoring before, but you still had to be tethered to a laptop.
