FCP6 & Metadata

I'm on the brink of upgrading FCS to FCS2 but no one here at the Apple store knows if FCP can handle P2 clip Metadata in terms of creating/editing/storing it etc. I believe on the PC its done via a seperate panny application not available to Mac users.

Anyone have any answers/workarounds on this? I really REALLY want to be able to effectively use P2 clip metadata!

So far, other than the change in nomenclature and location of the import command, I see no difference in the way in which FCS 2 handles P2.

There are several Mac apps that allow viewing and editing of the metadata. Take a look at ImagineProducts . com for P 2 Log Pro or H D Log etc. That company is also releasing a Windows logger that will support P2 as well...more robust than Panny's freebie.

If you're only working inside FCP their import hasn't changed much from 5.1.4, although we all wish they'd fix a few of the P2 related bugs.
