FCP or DVD STUDIO PRO error?

So I have this process of exporting my edited footage from final cut pro to my external hardrive. From there i send to dvd studio pro. I have been doing this for a while and have never had issues, UNTIL TODAY. Now whenever i try to import it into dvd studio pro the thing shuts down. I try to bring it into toast it says its an invalid file. However if i drop it into the desktop i could import it easy.

So i am assuming its an issue with the transfer from fcp to my external hardrive. Any suggestions?

Bounce it to your internal hard drive for the time being. And try using a new firewire cable or USB cable. I always try the simple solutions first before I start messing around with the settings. Motion makes my system crash every time it opens and I am scared to mess with the settings in the middle of a project.
 
What are you sequence settings in FCP. How have you exported the sequence?

Have you tried encoding that export first in Compressor using a preset and then importing it as an asset into DVDSP
