FCP not seeing last MTS file on the card!

So I have 48 MTS files in the finder window and only 46 clips in my log and transfer window. I found out that FCP will occasionally chop long clips into multiple mts files. And that is what happened on one of my missing clips. But the final clip is missing entirely from the log and transfer window. I can open the mts file in VLC on my MAC, and it plays fine. So I know it is there. But can't transcode it. Any ideas? Even a round about workaround to get the thing into my system will be helpful. Right now, I'm trying to transcode in VLC (which kinda stinks) just to get it in.

I am thinking the missing MTS file is really part of another clip in a longer file. You are thinking of it backwards, FCP will combine clips that are separate MTS files. Its way better to have FCP do it for you since often 2 clips butted up together in the timeline will skip. You have 2 clips that are like this since there is 2 less clips showing in the L&T, which is really 4 MTS files being affected..

Do those clips play from the card in the camera? Maybe those clips did not close properly and could use a run with AVCCAM Restorer?

Good luck,

Jan
