FCP Log and Transfer red exclamation on "status"

Hi everyone. I've successfully gone as far as having the thumbnails show up on the Log and Transfer window.
However, when adding any of the clips to que, I get the red exclamation under "status".
Clicking on it says "Error: Unknown"
No progress bar movement even though it says that it's 'transferring' the file.
After the transfer, I don't see any clip on FCP, as the red exclamation still remains and clicking on it now says "Error: No Data"
Anyone else having this problem? I just want to do my first edit in FCP.
A work-around suggestion is also welcomed!

I had the same thing happen I create a new project and then it works.

Tried what you did but still a no go....

in my case I was able to solve the issue by bringing the clip through P2 Contents Management Software, which you can download at https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/sales_o/p2/cms/ Then i re-ingested via final cut. It broke up my long clip into four sections and it worked.
