FCP import problem

hopefully someone can help me with this.

I shot a few clips of an interview yesterday,
I went to import them into final cut pro,
(selected all the clips, then hit "add selection to queue")
After it finished transferring everything appeared normal except one main clip was not showing up in my browser.
i looked in my capture scratch, found it, tried importing it from there, and all i get is a pop-up that says "File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown."

I have tried this a hand full of times and keep getting the same result...SOO FRUSTRATING!!!

Can anyone help?

Are you taking clips directly off the card or transferring clips to a hard drive first?

when I am transferring clips i plug the camera in to a harddrive with firewire then my hard drive is connected to my computer....

so it just connects through a hard drive to the computer

Did you off load the clips to the Hard drive before you made the transfer? If not, then you should.

Also, make sure you write-protect the cards before transferring.
