Looking for the best perfromace/price combo for cutting a feature doc from DVCPro HD 720pN24 footage in naitive format (around 50Mbps). Speed is not the chief concern since we are not going uncompressed or anything.
Requirements:
12-16TB
esata on expresscard 34 AND PCIe card (Desktop and Laptop both access the array at alternate times
+Plus FW 800 for ease of hookup on ohter laptops if needed (if at all possible)
Could be up to $5k if needed.
Thinking Sonnet, Cal Digit, Drobo, GTech, and Drobo. Not sure which model or brand is best. So may options!!
