FCP color grading trick?

Hey guys,
I've seen this color grading technique used a few times recently, I think its really cool but can't figure out how to do it. If you skip to around 1:43 and also around 3:05 in this video http://vimeo.com/11063600 you'll see that the top half of the frame has almost a pink tint to it, but the bottom half does not. It seems like it couldn't be that hard to do in post, and hopefully I would be able to use FCP to do it. Does anyone know how to do this, or what it's called?
Thanks!

It might have been shot that way, perhaps using something like THIS. However, you can re-create that effect in post by using a gradient filter. If you don't have one (Magic Bullet has this option, Apple's Color should as well) you can create one in Photoshop. Or, in FCP, you can use a color matte over the video and the use a combination of transparency, crop, and edge feather settings.

In FCP, get the Custom Gradient generator. Put is on the track above. Play around with various Composite modes, along with opacity. But I'd go into Color, though. Use vignettes. That video is very heavily color graded to get those looks/effects.
