FCP and XDCAM sound drawing issue

Anybody else had a problem with FCP drawing the waveforms for the audio on the XDCAM EX wrong? It's off by a few seconds. So it's hard to do audio editing, because where the peaks and valleys are is off a few seconds from the drawing even though the audio meter seems to read it fine...

I've tried trashing my audio waveforms, enabling and disabling the setting, quitting FCP and starting again.... it doesn't seem to be the issue
 
I haven't had this problem. Have you double checked your Sequence settings? Should be set to XDCAM EX (at what ever size and frame rate your shooting). Double check that the audio is set to 48khz. That's the only thing I can think of that it might be.

You are using FCP version 6.0.2 or higher right? You are able to choose XDCAM EX 1080 30p (or what ever) from the Easy Setup menu right?
 
no I'm editing in a DV sequence... seems that that might be the problem. I put it in an EX sequence and it changed. Weird.
