FCP an frame rate problems

Hello:

Maybe this issue has been raised and answered before but I couldn't find any thread in the forum. The thing is that I recently shot with the HVX200 some footage using the 720/25p settings. I shot at 18 fps. When I import the footgae to FCP (I have the latest version, universal, etc.), it does not play at 18 frames per second. I checked the clip's vid rate and it read 50 fps. I don't understand why this happens. My sequence settings in FCP are DVCPROHD720_25p. I did not shoot 720pn. Is that the reason why FCP identifies my clips as 50fps, even though I shot at 18fpd in 720/25p?

Please somebody help. Thank you and sorry if this issue has been answered before.

You have to use the DVCPRO HD Frame Rate Converter in FCP 5.1. It's in the Extras folder on the installation DVD. It conforms your over/under cracked footage to match the Seqeuence's time base.
