Just using fcp 7 now and thought I could use log and transfer for avchd mts file clips from af100, but it has them grayed out.

I think you need to select the parent folder... you can't just select the mts files.
So instead of going: af100>private>avchd>bdmv>stream
just select the first folder.
I think FCP is probably reading one of those index or library files.

Yeah you need to import from the top-level folder structure i.e. everything on the card. The MTS files are not directly importable.

Hi Guys,

We have the entire folder structure from a friends Panasonic 900 (can't remember which model, but the recent one, in built memory, about $1500). We have experience logging and transferring AVCHD from a Sony Alpha 33 DSLR, from both the camera and from it's folder structure on a hard drive, but with the Panasonic folder structure, FCP just won't see it/work with it.

The Structure is as follows;

AVCHD

AVCHDTN
BDMV >
PANA_EXT

CLIPINF
INDEX.BDM
MOVIEOBJ.BDM
PLAYLIST
STREAM >

(.MTS files)

As we don't have the Panasonic 900 in our possession it is a bit difficult to play around with it. Can anyone tell me whether there is a file in another root level folder that is needed for FCP 7 to transfer the footage?
