Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of a problem with FCP 6, was wondering if anyone might know a solution. Last night, I shot some footage. Since I don't have FCP 6 installed on my Powerbook, I just copied the files from each card to a Folder on a hard disk. Today I hooked it up to my G5 and attempted to import the footage. I used the Log and Transfer window, and was able to pull the footage in. I was able to import all of the footage EXCEPT the footage shoot using a different frame rate other than the default (I was shooting 720pN24) I had 4 takes that were shot overcranked to 48 frames per second. I looked through the manual and there was nothing about this being an issue. It suggested I would have to use the DVCPro HD frame rate converter. But in attempting to use this I found out you can only use it for clips in the browser.
When I attempt to pull the overcranked clips into the transfer que, they run as if they're importing, but then the Status column shows a red exclamation point and they don't import. If anyone has experienced this and know what to do, I'd appreciate it. I'm sure it's something really simple that I'm forgetting to do. Thanks.
