Hello Folks

I clicked or double clicked on something by accident and the view window in FCP Version 6 in Log and transferr mode disappeared !!!

In times past I got the viewer back by resizing the lower right corner window controll by dragging the mouse over it
not now

I read the fcp 6 manual regarding the viewer and looked at two books on final cut 6 but no matter what
i can not get the viewer window to reappear in Log and transferr mode !!!

At this point I am sure it is my error

Bu
in one more week I am going to give up unless someone has a solution ad just reload the program .

Again has any one got a solution to the viewer window dissappearing in Log and tarnsferr?as stated -i use fcp 6
Thanks
Bruce

I easiest way is simply to trash your Final Cut Preferences file, and reboot, and if you are working on a project locate it.

very interesting
this sounds like the error is in program function
so
1-I remove the prefrence file and make very certain i know where and how to find my existing project
2-then restart the computer - the prior setting will default to standard ,
or -since it has been some time
3-maybe even reinstall final cut if that does not work ???
Thanks for the reply
Bruce

Just restart the application or double click on the project file.

It will ask where your files are, and should restore FCP to its default window layout.

I think I found a solution
The window viewer is back after mouse pointing and clicking along the right boarder of the entire right edge of the log and transferr window .
This may still be a bug or a desiged function inside the program .
I re read the manual sections to do with windows functions and as yet Iv found no refrence to this .
Your solution is appreciated
BUT
I tried locating the specific file for prefernces in order to delae it .No luck even under any knows serch words
how do you locate the prefrence file in order to do the delate you mentioned ?
Thanks
Bruce

Thanks Luis !!

It appears FCP has a few odd things that occur for which there are some aftermarket fixes .
My foix may have been discovered on the right boarder of the log transferr window it is a small micro size rectangle which I clicked whereupon suddenly the Log Transferr viewer window reappeared !
Thanks again Luis ill get that application.
I guess there us a reason why I planned my company to have four computers dedicted to each task along the editing work flow in order to deal with such hang ups .On production we use five cameras two 35mm and three digital for each unit at a location .
Redundancy to fight failure issues !!!
